Who we are
SoapBox Republic is a United States civic-information project, operated by Brilliant Technica LLC, dba SoapBox Republic, 150 4th Street #534A, Oakland, CA 94607.
Public contact remains support@soapboxrepublic.com only.
What this policy covers
This first policy covers only:
- the public informational website
- emails you send to support@soapboxrepublic.com
This first policy does not cover:
- a live mobile app data collection product
- live Political Profile collection
- live Civic Participation collection
- live Civic Credibility collection
- live product accounts or an accounts database
- local-only demo interfaces
- any broader live product
What we collect
Under this first-policy scope only, the categories are:
- Support communications. The content of emails you send to support@soapboxrepublic.com, including your email address and whatever you write in the message or thread.
- Basic public-site technical and security telemetry. Host logs may include IP address, timestamps, request path, and user-agent, kept short-term for security. These are basic host telemetry and security logs, not a political-data store and not a product analytics program. This site does not add cookies or analytics.
No production civic-domain database has been chosen. This policy does not select a production database vendor. This policy does not name or select a live authentication provider. Site plus support email do not create product accounts.
Why we collect it (purposes)
Under this first-policy scope only, the purposes are:
- Inform. Publish and operate the public informational website.
- Support. Receive and handle messages sent to support@soapboxrepublic.com.
- Site security operations. Use basic host telemetry and logs to operate and secure the informational site.
This first policy does not include live Political Profile, Civic Participation, or Civic Credibility purposes.
Security
When we offer the public informational site, connections use HTTPS/TLS in transit. We will not offer that site to the public over HTTP.
This policy does not claim encryption at rest, and it does not claim security guarantees beyond transport protection for this informational site.
Where this first policy applies
This first-policy geography intent is the United States only.
No U.S. state privacy regime is singled out. This policy does not claim GDPR compliance. This policy does not claim CCPA compliance. This policy does not claim CPRA, COPPA, or any other statutory-compliance status.
How long we keep it
Under this first-policy scope only:
- Host logs. Short-term only, for security monitoring.
- Support emails. Retained only until the support issue is resolved.
This first policy does not include living Political Profile, survey, or debate-stats retention.
How to request deletion
There is no automated delete-my-account path and no automated database deletion path under this first policy, because this first policy does not include live product accounts.
To request removal of a support email thread, email support@soapboxrepublic.com and ask us to delete that inbox thread. Deletion is manual: if you ask for removal from inbox or threads, we delete the email thread by hand.
What we do not collect under this first policy
This first policy does not claim collection of:
- live Political Profile data
- live Civic Participation data
- live Civic Credibility data
- live product accounts or a live accounts database
- mobile political-data collection
- living survey or debate-stats product data
- local demo interface data as a live production collection
Historical leftover Privacy Policy pages in this repository are not adopted here and are not revived.
Contact
For support, including a request to delete a support email thread, contact:
That mailbox is the only public contact named by this first policy. The operating entity and mailing address are stated under Who we are. This policy does not create a separate privacy officer, DPO, or legal department. The Safety & Support surface is Safety & Support.
What this policy does not do
- It does not cover a live mobile app, live product accounts, or live Political Profile, Civic Participation, or Civic Credibility collection.
- It does not authorize live political-data collection.
- It does not select a production civic-domain database.
- It does not select a live authentication provider.
- It does not claim GDPR or CCPA compliance.
- It is not legal advice.
If this project later collects data for a live product, that collection needs its own separately published policy. This first policy does not stand in for it.
