SoapBox Republic

Where you stand. Speak truth to power.

SoapBox Republic is a text-first civic discussion project. People read a topic, say where they stand in plain words, and answer each other without scores, rankings, or applause metrics.

What this website is

This website is informational only. It explains what the project is and what the current product supports. It is not a signed-in product, a store listing, or a place to create an account. Nothing on these pages collects your answers.

What the app supports today

In the iPhone app, a signed-in member can browse Topics, open a topic and read its posts, write one plain-text post, report a post, block that post’s author, reach Safety & Support, and delete an account from Settings.

The hosted app service is not open to the public right now. This site does not claim that an App Store listing, public signup, or 13–17 parent-permission signup is operating today. When any of that changes, it will be described here in plain language.
